The Y supports kids, adults, seniors, and families daily with programs that protect, teach, connect, and encourage. Everything we do helps give potential to our community and for the “us” who live here to thrive.

Our community continues to evolve and faces new challenges each year. The Y has transformed these challenges into opportunities, and as we enter 2024, we are prepared to continue adapting and positively impacting our community’s ever-evolving needs. You can help hundreds of kids, families, and individuals be part of the Y family in ways that enrich their lives.

Your power of generosity is a vital resource for us. You play a crucial role in our journey by remaining connected and supporting others. As a non-profit, our YMCA relies on contributions from our community to operate various programs and services that enrich the lives of parents, families, and individuals.

The Unicoi County Family YMCA needs your support for our childcare programs. Since January, our center has proudly served 104 children through our afterschool program, summer camp, daycare services, and days-out of school program. Our mission is to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, build friendships, and thrive.

We understand that children need more than supervision. They need opportunities to explore, develop new skills, stay active, and create lasting memories. To support their growth and well-being, we provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack to the children in our care. We are proud that our center has earned a 97 out of 100 QRIS score through the Department of Human Services (DHS), demonstrating our commitment to quality care and continuous improvement.

To continue providing these valuable services, we are seeking donations and community partnerships. Your generous contribution, whether monetary or in-kind, would help us purchase educational materials, classroom supplies, recreational equipment, nutritious food, field trip experiences, and other essential resources that directly benefit the children we serve. In addition to helping support our programs we have set a goal to make childcare more affordable to parents. The goal is to raise $42,000 to give every child that is registered in our afterschool program a 25% discount for an entire school year.
